President of Russian Union of Restorers will deliver his speech at the international conference on standardization in sphere of cultural heritage preservation

On September 12, 2017 in Moscow the conference entitled “International experience in technical regulation and standardization in sphere of cultural heritage preservation” is held involving prominent experts of the field. Among the key speakers is the President of Russian Union of Restorers, director of Central scientific-restoration workshops Vyacheslav Fatin. His report will be devoted to national standards as the basis for development of restoration industry in RussiaIntroductory speeches will be delivered byDirector of Cultural Heritage State Preservation Department, Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation Vladimir Tsvetnov, Rector of Moscow State Construction University Prof. Andrey Volkov. The moderator of the conference Chief Architect of Central scientific-restoration workshops Serguei Kulikov will represent his report as well.

 Five reports of Russian experts in the sphere of cultural heritage preservation will be represented at the conference. Together with the critical survey on current situation with Russian technical regulations in sphere of cultural and historical heritage monuments restoration, various applied topics will be discussed. Among them will beregulatory and technical issues in restoration covered by Andrey Bode, associate professor at Moscow State Construction University, counselor of Russian Academy of Architectural and Construction Sciences. Prof. Yelena Pokrovskaya, Moscow State Construction University, member of ICOMOS, will speak about enhancement of fire and biological corrosion resistance of cultural heritage sites by means of scientific methods. Other speakers of the conference will be Andrey Pustovgar, vice-rector, Moscow State Construction University, scientific director of Research and Development Institute of Construction Materials and Technologies, and Pfor. Nina Shangina, doctor of technical sciences, Chairwoman of Restorers’ Union of Saint-Petersburg, member of Cultural Heritage Council of Saint-Petersburg. Besides Russian experts, specialists from Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands will share their experience.
